This is for an old backup Acer laptop.
Not the speediest of laptops, but it works.
Shown working with XP, although this will be loaded with Windows 2000 when it is shipped as it has an OEM lic for this.
This little unit is ideal for reading emails and browsing the web, although it does struggle with the higher resolution video pages like BBC's Iplayer.
The keyboard is in a reasonable state, the touchpad works well, the screen has no apparent dead pixels. Even the battery is holding a bit of a charge.
Very slim, and light.
It has PCMCIA and USB slots, so can be WiFi'd easily.
Negative points:
Small crack on the bottom right of the screeen of the plastic case- barely visible only noticed it when taking the pictures. Not affecting the hinge , purely cosmetic.
The power connection at the back sometimes needs a wiggle to make connnection. Nothing appears to be loose, and it works most of the time straightaway, just sometimes it loses connection when its turned a particular way. I suspect its oxidisation on the connectors.
It hasnt been powered on for a while and it reported the Cmos battery as flat, although subesquent reboots havent flagged this. I suspect its where it hasnt been used recently and will see if it reports it still after being charged and used over the next few days.
Shipped with PSU, external DVD/Floppy drive.
Will check the size of the Hard Disc.....think its 10Gb
